^3 does it again !! Great commentary John !! Most of you know that I travelled extensively for my job. My angst against the Trib and the other Media of late is based on what I have seen over the years -born and raised in Oak Park--Move to Twin Cities Then Fargo and now here in the Akron-Cleveland Canton corridor, plus those many years of travel--all fifty states. And I found as I now see here in Ohio that NOWHERE but in Chicago does the Media ignore local College Sports. Seattle- Seahawks and U Wash.--Portland-Trailblazers and Portland U --San Francisco-Giants and San Fran U Santa Clara-- Dallas - Cowboys and SMU ----I could go all around the country : it does not matter whether what is beng played and at what level, Pro or College--BOTH areas are written about and not pone at the expense of another. AND nowhere did I find one school "punished" by the local media at the expense of another. EG-If the La Times wrote about UCLA and ignored So Cal, there would be big trouble. In Philly, what goes if Villanova and Eagles got all the Press at expense of St Joe, Penn and the rest ??
