A friend of mine was curious about the Chicago Cardinals. I knew the Cardinals trained in Lake Forest before the Bears. They were in Lake Forest between 1950 thru 1972. Did not know the " Big Red " trained at Loyola University Chicago in 1934. Maybe it was the Lenny Sach's connection because he was a coach with the Cardinals at one time .

Sachs played for the Cardinals from 1920-22 and coached for them in their Championship season of 1925. By 1934 the University had dropped football and except for Loyola Prep's team the field(s) were available.
