Local suburban paper , 8 paragraphs on DePauls new coach......nada on LUs game. Digital Trib? one paragraph with little or no info..Was there anything in the print editions of the Trib and Sun Times.Nothing on the SCORE updates although they announced the winners of the Shamrock 8K run. So do we do a bad job of getting info out or do they just make a decision that we are irrelevant even though we have the best RPI of the Chicago teams ? How should this of been handled to get some pub?

Nate , following is my opinion--but History backs up a lot of it.

The Chicago print media is and has been in bed with DePewl, Notre Dame and the Big ten for decades--NOT years but decades. I do not believe that the treatment or lack of it, shall I say , is fair to LOYOLA. In fact , it is down right unjust. But like the National print media and most of the Broadcast News is hand in glove with the Democrats , it is there. We must deal with it--We shall by winning--The locals will hate this at first but as we establish ourselves as the dominant Hoops school in Chicago and soon Illinois, they will wake up--Why ? Because they are frontrunners and that is what it is.

OK, if indeed we would get the publicity that the above get almost daily, our attendance would grow proportionately-- The "curious" would venture north to see our resurgence.

It is ironic that CRAIN's --Business organ-- gives us the best write-up we have had all year. Sad but true !

Well Depaul has won the publicity war. In the middle of our CBI run Depaul hiring Leito has dominated sports media, the talk shows and the print media.
