Swoopes releases this statement through a PR firm without the university's knowledge. I would venture a guess that the investigation is over and it's not good for Swoopes. She ties the administration directly to every allegation stating they had full knowledge. Once again what kind of contract did Kelly and Malisch approve for her that would allow her to release statements without the university knowing. She is basically saying every transfer conspired together to assassinate her character.

If only we were a public institution and could use the Freedom of Information Act to get contracts and evaluations. The word has been that Grace left shortly before she was going to get fired. Assuming that is true and one of the reasons was Swoopes could we assume that the interim AD did not want to make that big a move and AD Watson was going to just ride out the contract maybe with instructions from above to not eat her contract? If so I think it is a big mistake the bad publicity will be worth more than the eaten contract. At this point I want her gone and get it over with.

Well, Nate, I really do NOT wish to appear "preachy" But we must be careful what we wish for--I thought the same as you re Pub vs Private--BUT on the whole we went to LUC because one of the reasons we did was IT WAS Private !! Not the only reason of course BUT one of them.
I made up my mind re Swoopes when it was purported that the parents were stonewalled !! She MUST go !!

Brot Do I need to respond to all the e-mails????? Just joking. My concern is that we may never really know what we should know as Alums to really make a decision on this. What if they find no violations other than the players did not like her coaching style? Then what? Yikes it is a mess.
