Pernell ends up at Panola College in Carthage Texas. Just another of our big men to hit the hills. I still do not understand if this is part of the plan to play a 3 and 4 guard lineup or for whatever reason we just cant keep big guys????

Ok I know....I am answering my own posts. Just skimming thorugh Verbal Commits and saw Antonio Bishop 6'8 210 out of Homewood Flossmor. Lists Chicago as home out of Parie View A n M and Polk State College.....still undecided/ Marvin Jones 6'10 transferring from Kent State played at Thornwood, JayQuon McCloud wo we recruited is leaving UWMil. Not a big guy though. Develle Phillips 6'10 leaving DePaul. These are guys with Chicago ties. There were two other interesting transfers who had not yet signed. Derick Woods 6'8 transferring from St. Bonnies and Henry Uwadiae a 6'11 transfer from UW Green Bay interesting cuz he originally had a Witchita St. offer. I have absolutely no idea if these guys are any good or if LU is interested but there still are a lot of bigs out there who have not signed according to Verbal Commits.

I'd be more worried about it if Pernell had gone to another D1 school.

Jayquan McCloud passed us up to sign with Murray State, got homesick in less than two months on campus, and ditched them for UWM. Now he's on the market again? Wow.

I know college kids and college ball has changed, but I'm starting to get concerned that we haven't had a four-year front court player over 6'5" since Hicks and Averkamp in 2012-13.

Nice research! But I don't believe any of the players listed would be eligible to play right away. I'd much rather bank roll the scholarship until next year so we have at least two to play with. Hopefully Porter can keep in Cam Krutwig's ear and we can get a commitment in the coming months. He's a local kid who by all indications would be a good fit on and off the court.

Right. I should have said that I would be more upset about losing him if he went to a higher level D1. It is somewhat concerning that we have had so many bigs on our roster who ended up moving down multiple levels.

I haven't seen or heard much about Henry since he was at our Elite Camp one year. Great athlete for a big guy. Had decent touch around the basket. How well has he put that together in basketball skills I have no idea. I believe he had qualifying issues and that's why he didn't end up in Wichita and then I think we stopped recruiting him. Not sure if he simply wasn't developing or if we just found guys we felt were better that we didn't have to wait on.

Always thought he had potential to at least be solid.
