It looks like Porter is going after a second big. Verbal Commits reports that Loyola offered six nine two hundred fifty pound Isaiah Chandler of Omaha Nebraska.Chandler is rated the 32nd best center by Verbal Commits while Cameron Krutwig is rated 33rd.

Hey Swella,

On the recruit grid you link to, does the interest column mean the player's interest in the school or the school's interest in the player?

The player's interest in the school.

It's actually both.

For example, the guy that runs VC will scour various news sources including social media so if a player gets offered by a school, he'll list it in their profile despite the prospect likely having any interest in the program.

There is some ambiguity about what it means. Ideally there should be two separate ratings- one for the prospect's level of interest in the school, and another for the school's level of interest in the player. I don't see how you can combine these into a single rating when they often don't coincide.

But when a school has offered that perforce shows a high level of interest, so the only variable is the prospect's interest in the school. That's why I think, at least where there is an offer, Level of Interest refers to the player's.

Not that any of this really matters much...

I feel like outside P5 schools teams are almost always listed as medium on VC. Not sure how much attention really goes into it.

I'd be pretty excited if we could have two highly rated bigs to build on. The fact that we're still offering big men after Krutwig committed does make me wonder if Kirby plans to forgo his redshirt senior season after this year. I'd still love to see us snag Simeons Evan Gilyard or La Lumiere's Isaiah Coleman-Lands.

Here's Chandlers hudl for highlights

Happy to see us continuing to pursue another big in this class. I think its the right move even though scholarships are thin for this year. No doubt the addition of another 6-9 guy like Chandler or Shadd would really help our depth in the front court.
