WOW!
Fair enough.
Students are entitled to their opinions and I respect that, won't argue with it.
I find it difficult to understand, but that's my problem, not theirs.
Pure and simple, winning on the court will see all of these supposed issues disappear.
Chicagoland has more than enough basketball fans who will be there when we have the product on the floor.
There will be no need to give seats away to people that don't want to be there anyhow.
Hopefully we start this season.
Go Ramblers

Sporting events and school spirit/pride is not for every student. Clearly that student doesnt think it enhances her experience, similarly I know for a fact there are students who believe that it does. Focus on those fans, convert the people who are indifferent/uninformed but dont waste time on people who clearly want nothing to do with Loyola as a community and everything will be ok.

Agree with 440 and Ramblerguy. Every school has students who will never care. But winning will draw in those who could care. When I started law school at SIU, their football team had been terrible for years. First year “going to the game” meant tailgating outside the stadium all day. Second year, the school tried to push kids to go to the games, and shut down the tailgating at kickoff. Most just went home or to the bars. By my third year, the team was winning a lot, consistently ranked in National polls (1-AA), and kids were magically talking about the team and more started to go to games.
