I agree with everyone's analysis of the game. I think this is a very exciting group and I think everyone is going to contribute.

My takeaways:
- Students were awesome... very active... very loud... 95% of them stayed to the end of a very lopsided game
- Great turnout from the general public for an 8pm game on a Tuesday (I'm curious to see what Friday will look like)
- Great media presence the day of the game (I saw spots on tv and radio that NEVER EVER EVER would have happened in past years)
- Concessions were a disaster (My family left their seats at the :60 mark and got back to our seats at the 18:00 mark of the second)
- I also really appreciated the student emcee and half time entertainment (best quality in years)

This program is pointing UP in a huge way!!!

Overall, WAY too many TOs and the free throw shooting was atrocious (though UMKC somehow shot worse from the line--they had possibly one of the worst free throw shooting nights I have ever seen).

Agreed the TO’s on our side of the ball were pretty careless and high, I‘ll cut the team a break due to first game jitters etc. UMKC by far had the worst free throw shooting I’ve ever witnessed in person maybe even in general. They were 11% at one point early in the second half, it was embarrassing.

What a difference a year makes. It is great to see that the most common complaint from our first game is the concessions!

Foropeners, nice30 point win !! ONLY thing I can complain about is the freebie shooting !!! I will take a 70 point average on offense and a less than fifty point yeild on D-- All the rest is first game stuff--Krutwig ius key--He will be solid game in and game out--Of the rest, each game will bring out someone AND that i[lus Krutwig is why we will be a WINNER !!

Next up --FURMAN !!

Update on student tickets. I think it's a good move to not charge them for their tickets, even if they aren't in the student section.

Oh to be able to travel back in time to post that on here a few years ago. What a bizarro world we live in.

Was that the play that Krut was so jacked up after the score that he didn't even realize the refs called a foul as well?
