Wow, you are up late. I agree with you. Though I think we lost more talent to graduation than Butler did.

I’m not sure I’d agree with that. Among the players Butler had to replace was Gordon Hayward.

For us this year I have a similar feeling as last year. The safe bet feels like 12, but if we play up to our potential I’d see us at 14 or more.

Indiana State is a scary way to open up conference play. They lead the nation in 3pt % and will be tough for the valley all season long, hard to believe Barnes is only a junior. Drake is a surprising threat as well. I think Illinois States talent sorts it out before it's all over and southerns just a solid veteran team. I think 9/10 wins is realistic based on where we currently are, but if our shots start falling after a mental break following the holiday i think 14 isn't out of the question.

If I recall correctly, I picked us at 11 and 7. About a third of the way through the season I thought that I was way too pessimistic. Now it looks like I could be correct.
