Made it to the game a little late because of El delays but still saw most of it. Here's my recap with quotes from Moser, Turk, and Thomas.

Also a few other quotes that I ended up not using in the article:
—Moser on the 14-0 after calling the timeout with 10:25 left: "It started when Keke made a really nice assist and then Turk hit a three. We haven’t had that. We haven’t had those plays made when the other team is making the run. I thought our aggressiveness, we have to build that."

—Turk on being a sixth man: "It’s just knowing my role on the team. Come off the bench with energy, play defense, put up shots."

—Turk on confidence: "We know we can win every game when we go out there. Basically all the 13 games we’d played so far, we feel like we could win every game."

Key paragraph:

Quote:
After freshman guard Milton Doyle drained a three-pointer to push Loyola’s lead to 74-48, junior guard Joe Crisman was the only Rambler to hustle back on defense. The outmatched Crisman wound up committing a foul to prevent an easy layup before yelling to his team, “Get back on D!”

To me, this was the difference in this game as opposed to all those 2nd half collapses you mentioned in the article. This team has needed some leadership from within, and some of the players to buck each other up with energy and encouragement to keep pushing, even when the lead appeared unassailable. Even in some of the games we managed to win, like UIC and Campbell, that dynamic was missing. Hopefully, we'll be able to draw on that spirit in the rest of the season and possibly avoid Thursday play in St. Louis.
