Great story Nate.
I actually did some superficial research on the NCAA rules for forfeits. Don't quote me on this, but I think in your case, under NCAA rules, the forfeit score would be the score at the time the losing team quit, and not 2 zip.
If I'm wrong, and the score would revert to 2-0, then if the Ramblers are losing late in the Bradley game by 10+, Porter should seriously consider pulling a Lutheran.
Well if memory serves me the Greater Grade School Conference of Sheboygan was able to keep the long arm of the NCAA out of their by-laws....seems to me God was still the commissioner and what he believed depended on which gym you were in...those were the days,,,not only could you smell the popcorn , you could hear it popping and the fold out table with home made brownies , cookies,,,maybe some scouts selling Worlds Finest Chocolate.......small kids running under the bleachers . some skinny kid trying with all his might to get a free throw to the rim..shoulda been a Norman Rockwell picture,,,,,with the scoreboard reading 2-0 and maybe a dog on a leash outside the gym
and the two coaches shaking hands one grinning and the other sheepishly stunned ( I hope the stunned look is worn by Waddle tomorrow)
