No offense to Missouri State, but I want my Bonnies to beat Colorado, go to Oklahoma and kick their faces in by 40 and have more Bonnies fans than OU fans chanting "Eff You Joe C" for the last 7 minutes of the game because of 2016.

Ohio State is an extremely good matchup for us.

1. They play a similar slow pace. So we're going to get the slow efficiency battle that we always want.

2. Our biggest issue on offense all year has been turnovers, but Ohio State is bottom-10 in the country in steals.

3. Our biggest issue on defense all year has been big men, but Ohio State only has one guy bigger than 6 foot 8 and he only plays 9 minutes a game and only because of injuries.

4. Ohio State's best players are set to match up against Lucas Williamson and Aher Uguak. As we've seen all year, it takes a team effort to beat us. If you're going to try and force-feed one or two guys then we're going to take that away. You need a real third and fourth option. With their injuries, Ohio State doesn't have that.

This is without a doubt a great matchup for us. It'll also help that we'll be cooled off a little bit. We were obviously getting run-ragged during the MVC season, playing such a tight schedule due to COVID delays, including 4 games over a 7 day span to close out the regular season and then 3 games in 3 days the week after. With close to two weeks off we should be well rested from the physically grueling schedule we played.

Ohio State has some studs, EJ Lidell vs. Uguak is going to be a matchup to watch all afternoon, but they're nothing we haven't seen already in the likes of Michigan State, Auburn, or San Francisco.

To be completely honest, I believe this is a game we should win, and perhaps win big. It'll all depend on 3 point shooting. We're both among the best in college basketball, Ohio State is 27th in the country and we're 11th. Whoever's more efficient with their 3s probably wins the game. That's my worry, as our 3 point defense has gotten us into some trouble this year. Looking at AJ Green and Tucker DeVries being our biggest enemies.

I think Ohio State is essentially a more talent version of Northern Iowa. Similar size, similar team structure, and similar play style. It's going to be simple, lockdown EJ Lidell and/or don't allow a 3rd scorer to go off and you win. Let Lidell erupt an we're going to be in for a long night.
