I don't know how good the Finnish team is, but this sounds like a pretty solid addition for you guys.

Promising pickup. I like that he seems to have a little more experience than your average freshman. Read some commentary about him being an aggressive rebounder.

Let's not forget that Jeremy King transferred to a D-III.

Jeremy was a project coming in to LU. He significantly regressed as Porter refused to play him. His going to a D-III school is not surprising.

I fully expect Julius to be a project as well. Given Porter's track record with big men, things don't look promising.

Yeah, most big men are projects.

How do you know Jeremy regressed?

Just from watching. There was a regression from the early season scrimmage his freshman year to his playing time at the end of this year.

For what it's worth, ESPN's Reggie Rankin likes him:

Don't get me wrong. I WANT him to succeed. I WANT him to play and show what he's got. Unfortunately, I don't trust Porter to do the right thing. I hope to God he proves me wrong this year.

I know. That wasn't directed at you. Just a general FYI for people. I'll admit that I don't think I'd ever heard of Reggie Rankin before I saw these particular tweets.

WELL. my problem is this--Perhaps the biggies that Porter recruited just plainly were NOT good enough. The Finn and the other biggies we now have recruited must think Porter can coach them or why would they come to us ?? There are plenty of good schools out there--

I say Porter recruited guys who just could not cut it-- These latest may work out. If so, we will be a truly good team--If not------

Time will tell--
