Was the blog re the St John's recruit removed from the site--If so, am I allowed an answer ? Just curious !

Yes, it was removed. I was on the borderline about removing it, and then I got a complaint from an active board member. Upon further review I determined that it didn't even have any humor value, and I thought my attempt to show I wasn't a heavy-handed moderator wasn't worth it, either.
