Sorry - meant to link to this: http://www.loyolaramblers.com/genrel/103014aaa.html

Here's the excerpt to which I should have referred: "Loyola's men's basketball program continued its exemplary work, compiling a perfect score of 100, the only MVC school with a grade higher than 90. They are also one of six programs to earn the highest score, joining women's soccer, women's golf, women's volleyball, men's cross country/track and field and national champion men's volleyball."

So correct me if I'm wrong. Burns really had nothing to do with these numbers. Neither did Calhoun, Malisch, Swoopes, or Moser and Kelly fired the guy responsible in Planek. They occurred on Planek's watch with his people. Also won't all the transfers in men's and women's basketball have an adverse effect on the overall number if they don't graduate from their new schools?

I believe you're correct on all accounts. Time will tell what the current admin's APR looks like.

Also think Shane is the only coach at the present who can take success for his team's great success academically as he was the coach at the time.

Realize this has little to do with Keith Thomas...sorry about that. UW-Milwaukee was banned this spring from post-season play for poor APR scores. I wrongly assumed that fell under Jeter's watch, but it actually stems back to Bruce's tenure. Bruce who got the big job at Tennessee, who got in trouble there, and is now getting paid a ton of money at Auburn.

With all of the transfer activity we've had, do we need to be worried about future APR scores? I have no idea. Have most of the kids gone onto graduate from or enroll at another school? I think so, a couple at St. Leo, Denzel at Loyola Maryland.

Transfers don't count against you as long as they left in good standing and were on pace to graduate. I believe they changed that a few years ago since the school they left no longer has any control on it. They had done their part.

You're right - GSR is the study that takes transfers into account. Could be wrong again but any sanctions, I believe, come from APR.

Thomas' junior college has suspended its basketball program, and there is a criminal investigation underway.
