I figured the recent (and short-lived) job posting on Loyola's website meant that they were going to hire from within; i.e. promote Gordon from director of basketball operations to assistant coach.

I think it's a good hire-nice to reward a loyal employee who's paid his dues.. And he's from the Southside too.

The remaining assistant coach's vacancy will be filled by somebody who can recruit Chicago.

You could have gone by the short-lived job posting or you could have gone by my post here on July 2 in which I said as much
