I guess this was about what I expected. Maybe a bit longer.

We will be a little shaky at the point with Clay out. I hope we practice schemes for breaking a full court press. I've got a hunch we'll see a lot more pressure on the ball now. Neither Skokna nor Satterwhite seems capable of breaking a press on his own.
Donte might have to take over some of the ball handling duties.

I am glad that there is a new trend of providing some information on injuries. I agree this is about what I expected. Hoped for better, but glad it's not worse. It was an ugly injury.

Unfortunately, our two toughest remaining regular season games are 12/22 at Missouri State and 1/7 at UNI. UNI game is 3.5 weeks away.

Is it 3-5 more weeks or 3-5 weeks since the injury? We're already through Week 1

Given how it looked, I'm just glad it's a month and not a season. The bright side is it's less mileage on him come late season. Plus I would think Ben will be back before Clay to give the team an additional shot in the arm.

It was weird the press release mentioned Richardson's injury but didn't say when he was expected back.

Any news on Ben? He was projected to be out 4-6 weeks and that was after the UMKC game. That'd put the window starting around this week.

My speculation was that he could have come back for NSU but that there was no need to rush him. Getting him an extra week before UWM. At worst, I'd guess he's back for MSU.

But that could be a big push. Ben back for UWM/MSU then Clayton back for UNI.

Ben being back will be huge, his stats aren't always eye popping, but he's a hell of a defender, stretches the floor really well, and has a track record for big shots in big moments.

Think about the changes this team has gone through since he was injured; Lucas has developed into a pretty high level defender for a freshmen and a solid 3 point shooter, Avery's come in and added rebounding and additional scoring inside, Jackson is stretching the floor and become a real threat from range while maintaining strength inside, Krutwigs become a more assertive player in the post... It's exciting. Our defense has really been solid in his absence, and he was always a player that could give the team a jump start on that end. With him coming back we could really frustrate some teams.

The injuries of Ben and Clayton are disappointing, but the silver lining is its an opportunity for our bench to get deeper and have more in-game experience for the long haul. We are going into conference play with a schedule where we have a chance to win every game, which has not been the case, especially when Wichita State was in the league. If we only have one or two close losses before we are back at full strength, that would be a great thing. All we have to do in conference is perform the way we did last year for a twenty win regular season, and I’m pretty sure we are going to do much better than that. This team should be ready for St. Louis.

Our team did very well without our two injured guards. We WILL continue winning until they both return--Ben first of course. I do believe our team is good and most important--THEY KNOW IT !! The Valley IS good this year BUT we are the best in it. EG , we beat FLORIDA in Gainesville . why not UWM in Milw and and Mo St in Springfield ?? PREDICTION by Brot--We win BOTH !!
