a lot more guys were able to take on leadership roles (Peterson, CT) and with the exception of White (who I've been a little disappointed with) everyone seems to have gotten better through the experience.
To me it seems that Jeff has made a lot of progress the last two-three weeks. Much better acceleration and signs of better shooting touch. He's been way off his game this year after the surgery and I think he's getting his game back.
White had two not-so-hot games against Indiana State. But since the Feb. 11 game against SIU, he's been mostly very good, averaging 4.8 points per game, 2.8 assists, 46% shooting from the floor. His best game in that stretch was against Drake (12 points in 29 minutes with 2 threes), and his worst game was against Illinois State (0 points in 17 minutes, 1 assist). I think his confidence and determination plays a big role in how he performs from game to game, and he's a lot more gun shy against quick and/or athletic guards, perhaps not sure of his physical ability after his injury and surgery. When he has a quickness advantage against man to man defense, he takes advantage of it, but he struggles against zones.
