Well, as I see it, John is the Boss here and being the boss , he gets to say what goes where !!Part of being a leader , you know !!

Putting this thread here is merely common sense. Too many times we get caught up in systems and such--But we also must think !!

I heard that this move might have been prompted by the Board of Trustees, who were concerned that Garanzini wasn't able to devote sufficient time to the President's job because of his commitments as secretary of higher education for the Jesuits worldwide. He reportedly travelled overseas some 18 times last year.

The twist is that the plan of succession was for Garanzini to step down next year, but he pulled the trigger early, to the Board's surprise and chagrin.
