Bradley owes us a return game from a Bracket Buster, but since we're in the MVC now, they're switching with UW-Milwaukee. So Bradley will play at UWM, and UWM will be coming here sometime this year in place of Bradley. So here's what we've got so far....

Home
UIC (12/07)
UW-Milwaukee (11/8 or 11/9)
NIU

Road
Mississippi State (12/01)
Tennessee Tech
Fordham (12/23)

I'll believe the MTE when I see it.... We probably would have heard something about one of the teams confirming by now.

No update to the MTE on the Basketball Travelers site.

The newest addition on there came on July 16th.

Loyola Chicago is looking for one more game to finalize schedule. Preferably a series. Could start on road. Dates are Nov. 16 or Nov. 19. Please email mgordon1@luc.edu with interest....

Mississippi State lists our game as being on Sunday December 1st. Their campus is about 150 miles from Memphis and airfares are currently running at $350 or so.
We are supposed to open the season at home against Milwaukee. I believe the date is November 7th. Milwaukee was swapped out for Bradley who agreed to go to Milwaukee with Milwaukee coming to the Norville. This would serve as the BB game as neither team wanted to play three times in the season as only two of the games would count in the MVC standings.
We do play UIC on Saturday December 7th at home. It is a four year contract.
I believe that Northern Illinois comes in November 16th or 17th. We also have a home game against a DI school from North Carolina. All I remember is the team name starts with a "C". It is a name I never heard before but is D!.
Tenn Tech is a road game in November. We play Fordham in New York December 23rd which is a Monday. The university is trying to put together a package trip.
I priced airfares to LaGuardia and Newark and if you leave on the 22nd and come back on Christmas Eve the price is around $350 as well.
I had an opportunity while in DC on business to attend the dinner party at the Capital Hilton for the 1963 team. This was the night before the 63 team went to the White House and met the President in the Oval Office. Dr.Calhoun gave a great presentation and Father Garanzini reiterated the importance of athletics to the university. I had a chance to talk to him for about ten minutes about athletic department funding. The university has realized how badly Loyola is behind in funding and to elevate the program supplemental funding has been committed although he does expect the athletic department to be self sustaining in time.
Hence there is pressure to raise revenue. I think we all need to keep that in mind and where we can open our wallets. Many good things have happened under this regime but there is a long way to go and the help of alums is vital.
I also had the opportunity to have a drink with Coach Moser who talked about scheduling and recruiting. He is excited about the off season conditioning programs and said Osborne has made real progress as has O'Leary who has added twenty pounds.
He also talked about recruiting strategy and focusing.
I also had an opportunity to attend an MBA alum luncheon yesterday where Father Garanzini talked about the new business school which is a$67 million project.
$43 million has been raised. The new school will offer four new concentrations including risk and supply chain management. The "neighborhood" layout and social stair are unique concepts for sure in the building design. But my point here that I want to make is that Father Garanzini understands that a successful athletic program can be a great asset in attracting students and in fund raising. He is determined that all phases of Loyola will be first rate. We are lucky to have him as President.

They are in South Carolina.

I'm pretty sure it's Campbell.

I was too lazy to check that. There's about 80 colleges in the Carolinas so I took a shot.
