BUT this little thing might be a contributing issue of why we failed thgis past year--DISSENTION ????
Perhaps.
I think it less dissension and more bad luck/low energy. There are many things that can contribute to that.
This transfer situation, as I mentioned, isn't shocking for Adgei. Sure, he may have been a bit behind in terms of polish, but there was no reason for Porter to sit him. There were some games that even having a warm body in there would have helped. So I'm not shocked that he's leaving.
As for Knuth, I don't think it has anything to do with Porter or the program. Knuth got plenty of playing time last year and his injury was a bummer but I expected him to be back in the rotation next year. I don't know if Porter or Watson have rules about in-conference transfers, but it wouldn't shock me if he wants to be closer to home. Not that he's far away right now, but (speaking from experience) Chicago and Des Moines can feel like a world away if something is going on.
Conference rules state that if a player is to transfer between conference schools, not only would he have to sit out the transfer year, but he'd lose that year of eligibility as well. Or something to that effect. I know you end up losing a year of PT. He could transfer to Omaha and still be close to home.
