I think some comments are off base here. You can't be on both sides of the fence. Everyone wants to win games, and now complaining about Adgei not getting game time seems silly. We are not privy to what goes on in practice, but as I recall from the days of my youth, you did not get game minutes if you did not practice well. I believe that if Adgei had the skill set to help in a game situation, he would have been there. Knuth got game time when healthy. I thought that although he showed a nice skill set, he did tend to make the turnover or take a random shot not in sync with the offense. As I look to next season, it seems unclear that Knuth would have cracked the lineup, something that may have edged him to transfer. Who really knows... PM worked around the previous great exodus nicely and will do so again. Keep the faith you guys!
What is the news with Milton Doyle? I hope he is returning, as I said previously because I think he can still have a breakout type of season. (I wonder if he even knows just how good he can be?)
Assuming we have excellent point guards coming on board, as it seems, then Milton a shooting guard, Ingram, Andres, Rajala/Kirby, Richardson, and HOPEFULLY Chastain, we have a nice looking lineup. Am I delusional or what?
Go Ramblers.....
Ps. Just my gut feeling, but LU and Chicago is the spot for a talented 1A player we have been talking about. Just seems right. Hoping for good news.

Pernell Adgei was recruited strictly on potential. He struggled during his year of prep school. He certainly did not " blossom" at Loyola! The scholarship would be much better used on a guard. This is especially important if Tyson Smith stays, but is not able to play next season.

BUT this little thing might be a contributing issue of why we failed thgis past year--DISSENTION ????

Perhaps.

I think it less dissension and more bad luck/low energy. There are many things that can contribute to that.

This transfer situation, as I mentioned, isn't shocking for Adgei. Sure, he may have been a bit behind in terms of polish, but there was no reason for Porter to sit him. There were some games that even having a warm body in there would have helped. So I'm not shocked that he's leaving.

As for Knuth, I don't think it has anything to do with Porter or the program. Knuth got plenty of playing time last year and his injury was a bummer but I expected him to be back in the rotation next year. I don't know if Porter or Watson have rules about in-conference transfers, but it wouldn't shock me if he wants to be closer to home. Not that he's far away right now, but (speaking from experience) Chicago and Des Moines can feel like a world away if something is going on.

Conference rules state that if a player is to transfer between conference schools, not only would he have to sit out the transfer year, but he'd lose that year of eligibility as well. Or something to that effect. I know you end up losing a year of PT. He could transfer to Omaha and still be close to home.

First, I wish them luck and joy in their future endeavors.

Not surprised about Adgei. His lack of playing time foretold his transfer. I didn't anticipate Knuth leaving, but towards the end of last season you could sense a little chill in his relationship with Moser.

These transfers definitely clear a path for Chastain to have plenty of playing time as a frosh. I am sure Porter is trying to sell him on this point.

Gotta give some credit to the ESPN guys for their reporting on this list. How did they know about Knuth and Adgei? Not exactly high profile guys, and there's nothing on Twitter, nothing from the school. Did they call coaches from all 351 teams and ask who is transferring?

I have to imagine they reach out to schools when their season completes and asks them for transfers. It's the easiest way to achieve that list.

Coaches have little incentive to lie or withhold that information.

Knuth is transferring to Minnesota State Mankato a DII program and he will not have to sit a year.

A and K are gone and NOT good riddance !! They shall do well as both are decent young men or PM would NOT have recruited them--So that is that. We move on with Milton and the rest plus talented newbies !! We are bigger and most probably better .
Those two players would not have brought us up to being the boss of the Valley--Maybe these new ones shall !!

GO RAMBLERS!!

I'm surprised Knuth is going to a d2 school because he was for sure at the level of d1. I guess it might be so he doesn't have to sit out.
