This is far from over. How will NCAA respond and the Valley? What else will come to light?
A seemingly similar thing happened at WSU's women's program just last year. Pretty sure nothing resulted from it.
It was a few years ago at WSU and all that was discovered was I believe practices may have gone a little long and she may have been a little too verbally "abusive" and is under a more watchful eye now. Many Shocker fans are concerned with how many transfers her squad has and that comes down to recruiting. She's an intense coach and is going to get on the girls to push them. Why is she recruiting players who don't have the ability to handle that sort of tough love approach? I know some kids may seem like they can take it but don't, but we have a lot of turnover in the program and we are never very deep. Even the three straight years we won the Valley we never went more than maybe 7 deep. Usually 6. And we relied heavily on one player.
But there are no confirmed reports of abuse or denying anything to the ladies. All that have left have said they've received all the support they could ask for from the University in order to chase their dreams, but they didn't mesh well with Coach Adams and can't handle her intense and vocal nature.
Personally, I think something needs to change in Wichita as she can't sustain success with the way things are going. She can't recruit an Alex Harden every year.
