He is not a big man coach. According to his bio from last year's season at Oakland, he worked with guards as well doing a lot with scouting and recruiting.

Nope all coaching positions should be filled for now:
Porter
Mullins
Valentine
Gordon

Having two young, but extremely talented coaches on a staff could lead to an even bigger recruiting boom for the team, which is important in a pretty key 2018 recruiting class. Given what Mullins has done for the recruiting the past two seasons i'm sure he'll be getting high major looks before too long, so getting another young up and comer is good.

I also think it's worth noting Valentine did some work down low when he played for Oakland, so he will bring some experience as an undersized post player to the table. Doesn't hurt to have the brother of a Chicago Bull around (wouldn't be surprising if players/recruits got to see Denzel at some games or practices from time to time).

I'm starting to think the Loyola assistant might be a pretty attractive gig now. A lot of our assistants have gone on to be head coaches and top assistants at P5 level programs. If we get to the tournament, you've got to guess that there will be significant offers out there for Porter and Mullins.

Of course, anyone leaving would likely have to move to a small town. It's hard to go from Chicago pizza to Casey's General Store pizza.

Yes. That is iceberg lettuce and corn tortilla chips on top of the pizza.

But on a P5 assistant salary, they can have Lou Malnati's shipped to them: https://www.loumalnatis.com/ship-lous

To be fair, that's a step up from Giordano's
