I thought Cameron was improved last night but imho he is not a point guard....it is just not natural to him..He really has to think about it...his instincts are to gooo...Would be great if Ben R was going to graduate school plus do we not have a recruit coming in from Claytons home area? maybe both or one of those would keep him around.....best case scenario is that he has bonded with the guys coming back and wants to lead them...but man he makes a difference
I agree with you on Satterwhite. He looked better but not he's a natural pg and should play his more natural position at the 2. He's super talented there. It's just unfortunate we just have a massive minutes logjam at that position.
As for Custer, a myriad of things can happen to his situation. I think he would absolutely get big time looks. Syracuse's best player last year Jon Gillon was a grad transfer from Colorado State. It'd be really tough for us to basically recruit against a school like Syracuse or some other power 5 school with even remotely comparable academics if they come calling. All I'm saying is it's not a terrible idea to at least have a plan B in case of emergency, but it doesn't seem like we're even talking to a point guard. The last thing we need is a season like Porter's first where Crisman got thrusted into the point guard role when Stanley went down. obviously the talent outside of the point guard position is different now than back then but it'd still handicap next year's team.
