I think Dayton has "cushion" to lose another Q2 game in regular season + losing in the A10 championship. They are project as a 4/5 seed right now, which means they aren't really even close to the bubble.

Anyone that impressed with Dayton? Guess we will find out soon enough.

I can’t honestly say that I’m so impressed with them that I think they’re heads and shoulders above everyone else in the A10.

To the committee, metrics, and poll voters, though, they seem to have that status. Even after losing at VCU, their NET didn’t really move at all, and they actually improved their AP ranking from 18 to 16.

If we’re at where we are now or better in the NET, a win over Dayton at Gentile won’t hurt them.

Agreed. Have watched a lot of Dayton this year. No doubt they are a very good team. They have the best player in conference in Holmes. And a lot of talent around him. But I don't see them as the clear powerhouse of the league like the metrics show them to be. The top 4 of Richmond, Dayton, us and VCU seem to have separated a bit from the pack. I think any of those four teams could win in Brooklyn. All play very good defense, have clutch players and good coaching.

I'm not sold on Dayton, but other than UConn it's hard to be sold on anyone in College Hoops these days. Indiana State goes down in flames at home to ILLSt.

MVC is now officially a 1 bid league this year.
