I find it a little odd that in nearly 60 days that's the only bit of new information we have.

I believe Susan Malisch is the acting AD. She's our CIO.

There's a committee, but don't ask me who is on it.

Since Loyola isn't paying an executive search firm, if Craig Robinson gets hired I'm going to put in a claim for a finder's fee.

I figure 20% of his beginning salary is about right.

We may not have a new AD yet, but there have been some personnel moves in the Athletic Department.

As I predicted, Carol Iwaoka is gone; she now bills herself as a self-employed "consultant". I wouldn't be surprised if she winds up at Penn, but her age may militate against the cross country move.

The newly created position of "Chief Financial Officer-Athletics" has been filled internally by Ramiza Vulic, whose former position at LU was Associate Director of Financial Planning.

I don't think the search for the new AD has been unusually long; Calhoun was hired four months after Planek left.

The important thing is to get it right.

I'm thinking that one can, based on the creation of this position, infer what some of the problems in athletics were under Grace.
