In general, I think the publicity for games this year has been much improved. They have "It's Game Day!" flags and signs they put out in Damen and in the RoPo community before each home game. Also, The Phoenix, the student run newspaper, has been featuring the men's basketball team heavily with full front page articles. Free pizza and Free tshirts are common at most home games and just don't get the job done. Many times, students will show up for the food and shirts then leave before tipoff. In my opinion, it all comes down to winning and level of competition.
Although student attendance is consistently subpar, you can't expect the them to fill the entire arena. In a city with lots to do, Loyola also struggles to get families from the surrounding neighborhoods to spend money to see a Rambler game. If you win, they will come.
