Loyola should have one more non con that they could schedule. For teams with no MTE (like LU) the max is 25 games. We are at 24 (with all Valley games). I assume the valley would not let you play more than 1 more non con as it could jeopardize Valley games.

Sending players home for Christmas never seemed like a good idea to me.

The whole point of the valleys new schedule was to minimize travel and create less exposure. I could see the Valley telling us to not play games against non-conference teams, because playing an out of conference game could get our team exposed and make it so we have to cancel valley games, which would not be in the conference’s best interest.

If rules or procedure have to be adjusted in order to determine a regular season champion or seeding for Arch Madness if a ton of games end up not getting played, I would prefer to be on the Comissioner’s good side....

If the Valley says “don’t play” or suggests they don’t want us to.... I would hope we would just accept it.

If they’re not even going to start practicing until the 7th, that’s possibly 4 more games they’ll need to postpone on top of the 4 they’ve already postponed. Good luck making all of those up.

And this conveniently allows them to get players back who have been injured...

North Texas Saturday night, as their upcoming game with UAB also got canceled.

Don’t know much about them, looks like they beat on some bad teams and hung with #9 West Virginia (lost by 12), Mississippi St (lost by 6), and Arkansas (lost by 15). Kenpom of 102, not bad.

Probably not the game we wanted but at least it’s a game

Picked to finish 2nd in Conference USA, behind Western Kentucky. Potential tournament team. And it looks like they’re led by Javion Hamlet, who we recruited pretty heavily a couple years ago.

Pretty random team for us to play, but it is a solid pickup. Higher ranked in KenPom than Bradley.
