Drake beat SIU by 31 points. Putting up 86 on a Mullins-coached defense is...impressive.

Gonna be a real tough matchup. Hopefully fun one though. I could see a split, or a sweep by either team. I wish Drake tried a bit harder to pick up at least one real game to help their at large chances. Gotta think if either team sweeps they'll be receiving votes (likely ranked in Drake's case).

This series really showcased Drakes depth and athleticism, as well as SIU's lack of both... Minutes will be very interesting in game 1 Sunday.

SIU is short on experience and depth this year. That’s not a good combo for this back-to-back scheduling setup, and it sure hasn’t been so far.

We already got screwed by the home/road splits anyway by having to go on the road against our top three competitors (Drake, Bradley, MO State).

They made that up to us by having UNI at home but that doesn't mean quite what it did.

Yeah, at the time it seemed fair and honestly preferable on our end when we thought it was a two man race between us and UNI. Didn’t end up going our way, but I’m still fairly confident in our team against pretty much the entire MVC at this point.
