A friend of mine who I worked with at KFI in Los Angeles has been doing the UCLA games for the past 23 years and will retire when their season is over. We started working together on overnights (he was on the FM, I was on AM). He angled his way into being the full time sports reporter when I was producing the morning show, and later got the gig at UCLA. He convinced me to buy my '83 Toyota (based on the stories he told me about the abuse he put his through), and I remember he did a nice story on Loyola in the '85 tournament. With UCLA playing Gonzaga on Friday, it'll probably be his last game...
