That was a bad game. So frustrating.

Uguak is not a starter. His defense is horrible.

Losing a 10 point lead in the 2nd half at home. Not good. So sloppy. Bad turnovers, not great FT shooting. Now a razor thin margin for any at-large hope.

That’s been a common theme the first two games. Needs fixed ASAP

There’s not going to be an at large.... winning the valley is a “must.”

I’m not in panic mode yet, but the first fifteen minutes of that game were the worst 15 minutes of offense I’ve aeen in the past 40 games from Loyola. And if it weren’t for Custer single handedly willing them back into the game, it looked like the rest of the team was resigned to just getting their ass beat.

Really hope this serves as a wake up call to them. We are not an NCAA tournament caliber team right now. We have to get better.

Also- Uguak is not a starter and through 2 games, I’m not blown away like insiders seem to think we all would be.

3 total bench points, 3-20 from 3, and the kid who made 5 threes a few nights ago only had one attempt. Need to do better. A lot better. These game had all the earmarks of the Boise State and Milwaukee games last year. We rebounded from those, and this team will need to do the same.

At least there were excuses for those games. Not tonight.

Have to give Furman a lot of credit for playing hard for 40 minutes. They shot like crap, too, and they were able to win. They also seemed to have a lot of long arms. Krutwig really struggled to get open. I wish we could have run some stuff to get Cooper some shots, but maybe we don't have those plays yet.

Lots of possessions where there was some stagnant offense. Lots of bad turnovers. Terrible FT shooting.

In my opinion, Custer has to be more aggressive at times. He's trying to run the offense which is good, but I would like him to try and create for himself more and look for his own shot. Doesn't help that Bujdoso didn't play much and Custer had to handle the ball more.

Agree that Krutwig didn't establish himself either. Uguak had so many layups that were just barely off, he needs to improve his touch.

Just ugly.

Congrats to Furman.

Simply said (and as someone pointed out), we’re just not an NCAA Tournament team right now. Furman won that game attacking our non-core 4 guys on D at the end. (edit: actually they bested Krutwig down low too.)

We weren’t an NCAA team this day last year either so we’ll see what the season brings. Long road ahead.

His passing and shooting was pretty awful as well
