This team definitely has shown moments where they gel. It's definitely going to be a rollercoaster year but can be fun.

If we figure out the 3 point game, we'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Yes, the refs were bad, but don't worry, they know how we felt about them.

The hope was that games like Indy and Coppin St were aberrations resulting from a young team trying to figure things out. Today helps confirm that. And the fact that we had a great second half was a welcome sight. When they know what they’re running, and run that screen offense with that speed...and hit the three enough to keep teams honest...this team is tough. It’s a work in progress, but it feels like they’re making that progress.

In terms of the refs, I had never heard of this flopping technical until today. Two on us, one(?) on them. Imagine if this rule was around during the Butler days....nevermind, they probably wouldn’t have called it against Butler.

All of the starters played well today. Looking for some more help off the bench.

By the way, Krutwig's 3P% took another hit today. Now 0% on the year, and 25% career. :D

Great second half defense. Tate is really starting to assert himself on this team as an energy guy/auxiliary leader. Great to see. 4 steals for him and Lucas each!!! He also has some nifty foot work when isolated in the paint. Great mismatch to exploit moving forward. Uguak had some really nice hustle on both ends, love to see him stay aggressive.

Awesome to see Paxson back out there and contributing as well too. And Marquise.... man. If he can hit an even decent clip from outside (35%)... he's special.

Another game closer to some reinforcements... Still gonna be peaks and valleys, but this is great for the confidence.

He reminds me of "The Microwave" Vinnie Johnson for some reason. But no one takes mid range jumpers anymore.

A win is a win, but we got hammered on the offensive boards, they had 14, and they shot 34 three pointers to almost a 60% clip in the first half, but luckily they went ice cold in the second half. We were also 4-14 from three in this game.
The defensive intensity was better, especially in the second half, but I’m not sure what to make of this game.

Shooting the 3 is their game, they’ve shot more than 30 attempts in every game this year. And they have kids that can shoot....from a long distance. I swear one of their makes had to be from 30 feet. We’d better get used to it, because with our team/defense (and size with most of our rotations)
a lot of teams are going to use that game plan.

I did catch a brief period where we had a lineup with Aher basically playing the 5. A lot of moving, unknown pieces right now.

Great second half. I thought we played with a lot of energy and grit. Aher played well. Glad that Lucas finally made a 3 after missing at least 12 straight. Tate Hall is a tough rebounder. He also looks like he picked up some of Krut's low post moves. I wonder why Pipkins sat the entire second half, iirc.
