A reliable source tells me that the ND fans were all "peaceful protestors." We all know that they are immune to the virus. So the mask and distancing regulations do not apply to them.

The frustrating thing is how inconsistent the COVID scolds are. There were thousands of people shoulder to shoulder outside the white house and in a whole bunch of other places around the country on Saturday, but we can't even attempt to socially distance say 300 people in Gentile? Or 5,000 fans in 65,000+ seating capacity Soldier Field? Playing games will absolutely be doable because I truly believe everyone will make whatever sacrifices are necessary and humanly possible (wear masks, limited capacity, temperature checks, etc.) to have a season. I don't see the logic these politicians have in tacitly allowing/actively joining one activity which has absolutely no social distancing while banning anyone else from even attempting to pursue normal activities with extremely cautious safety measures.

I think the real reason will be the need to disinfect the Gentile after every athletic event. That can be expensive. Also there will be people arriving from everywhere and that will create issues.
Oh well,we will see. Who knows with the Pfizer announcement today, maybe the whole pandemic scare will be contained.

UNI just landed a game against Wisconsin who won the B1G last year and is returning everyone this year. UNI also has games against Richmond and SLU, both expected to be top teams in the A-10, as well as an MTE with Nebraska/LSU. This is a bit frustrating. Would have loved to have a game @Wisconsin.

Hmm. I'd heard the Furman game was on. At this point I kind of hope we pull a Syracuse and just never leave the area until we have to go to Iowa.
