This Tweet from today is from Jacob Hutson's father. Sounds like he thinks Jacob will play this season. I'm confused about the waiver reference though, since Jacob was already presumptively eligible as a walk-on freshman, not a transfer. Maybe something else was going on.

Maybe there are different rules for non-scholarship players?

That’s really interesting and clears up the question I had earlier in the year. I couldn’t figure out why if Huston was a walk-on and this years eligibility didn’t count, why he wouldn’t just dress for games.

Last night we put up 52 points in the second half. If this team starts firing on all cylinders during Valley play, and we start having 52-32 halftime scores, I could see Hutson getting in games and getting a chance to develop. Until that starts happening though, this might merely mean a change in dress code for him.

It’s still crazy to me that 5 years ago we had trouble with having enough talent to legitimately compete for a Valley championship, and now our main problem is choosing the right combination of guys from our loaded stable to dominate.
