Sooner or later these big first half deficits were going to bite. Just didn’t deserve to win tonight.

Congratulations to Indiana State.

It's like success is a hot potato for us.

And no points in the last 3 minutes including missing a few key free throws. This was one of the worst closeouts to a game I've seen in awhile.

Here are some things that killed us:

4 missed free throws (including one at the front of a 1-1)
17 turnovers to their 12
Only 7 points of turnovers. ISUb had 17
2nd chance points 4 against 10
Points in the paint where we were doubled up 18-36

I couldn't really watch the game (though I switched to the Indiana St radio feed while following the stats), but it seems we let this one get away. You can't lose a home game where you shoot 9 more free throws and shoot over 50% from 3.

What happened to our offense the last 3 minutes? We went from controlling the game to not hitting our last 8 shots. I didn't realize how much Custer does for us. I'm still really optimistic for the rest of the season knowing he should be back soon.

Bad loss--they are all bad of course==Again we played their game not ours

Not only that but my espn feed was awful.

I hate to say it again,guys and gals- but Porter has yet to show that he can consistently win the games that count- the Conference games.We get teased with the preseason record and then do a nosedive.Again,I hope I am wrong,but am just going with our recent history.Now on the road with a hungry UNI team followed by always tough against us- ILL St.1 and 4- wow,would that be the nail in the coffin already?
