Don't be surprised to have our previous game announcer returns to do the bball games. Times change.
This announcer was not bad. He did a great job, and he's a pro. But Pat Schultz is the Vin Scully of Loyola Sports.
I agree. Just stirring the pot.
As for the game reports, I am in agreement with most of the posts here. We have a really strong freshman class. Frank, Isaiah, and Kaifes all have developed bodies and they know how to use them. I was impressed with all of them, and I thought Frank especially looked really quick. He got out of position a couple times but was often able to zip back and be on his man. The possession at the end of the half when Isaiah seemed to never get a play going was kind of painful, but it looked like Porter straightened him out. Overall, I felt that they looked farther along than our freshmen normally do at this stage.
It will be interesting to watch Aher come along during the nonconference. Word is he improved his shot quite a bit over the summer, but it wasn't falling tonight. He still managed to put up some numbers and get to the free throw line.
Lucas has put on a lot of muscle.
Not a lot to say about Custer, Townes, and Krutwig. They are just really good.
