I am watching the replay right now. It looks the same as I saw it in person-- Bradley is a team of cheap thugs that elbow, shove, and jab their way under the ref radar. That's why they win always at home and lose to people they shouldn't lose to on the road. The sad thing is their fans think they're really GOOD, not the CHEAP SHOT behind the scenes elbow in the ribs artists that they are.

You can't say that because one person who is a CRAZY, NUTTY Bradley fan is a racist person that all Bradley fans are racist. You can't say that. That's stupid. There are people who root for the Ramblers who are terrible. There are a lot of great people in Peoria and downstate Illinois.

But we don't come down there and push our shit on other people like I saw from Bradley fans today. Maybe they were overserved at Irelands, which they rented out for their own traveling party as a kind of aggressive asshole move.

The overserved Bradley fans from Irelands were carrying beer cans as they stood next to me in line to get into the arena, and started right away insulting other people. BEFORE THEY GOT IN TO THE ARENA.

I fucking hate Bradley and their asshole fans. I hate them. When I've gone to Carver, they've been assholes. They TRULY believe that they have NEVER MADE A FOUL EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THEIR PROGRAM. WHen they come here, they're worse... they think they're entitled to special dispensation for being....??????? I have no idea.

Assholes. Sticking, drunk, stupid assholes with nothing supporting their sense of superiority.

48 first half points....who knew? and with Williamson out most of the first half...Marquis Townes ability to turn the corner, get to the hoop and finish is an art form. Bradley was extremely physical and as good a player as Brown is ( I think he is first team) his competitiveness got the best of him today.....PM continues to create defensively,,,,,they really made Brown work for his points tonight..watching Krutwig chase him off the 3pt line is just silly stupid for a man his size....When you see the top defensive assignment in the last two games against Green and Brown given to Williamson you kind of get an idea of how we missed him ....Kaives has turned out to be a better defensive player than I imagined.....Great crowd..
Bradley fans near me were shocked that we sold beer......Does anyone else in the Valley sell beer.????? they also thought the lights were bad....and were unhappy with a variety of things in direct proportion the the ass whooping they were getting.

Entitlement is a good word for most Bradley fans. As is assholes. When we joined the MVC, they were, IMHO, the biggest pricks to us. Fast forward a few years, and we now have more regular season MVC titles since joining the Valley than Bradley has in the last 30 years. I hope they enjoy that fact.

natetheskate is a Peoria native and a Peoria Bergan High School grad.
Don't want to put you on the spot, nate, but would be interested to hear your take about Bradley and its fans.

All these pregame posts from swella have me wondering if is confused about what "Senior Night" means. Hint: there is no early bird special at the concession stands.

I thought it was "Señor Night", which is why I wore my charro suit.

No Swella request goes UN-fullfilled.
Hey my old high school.....Bergan,,,,which morphed into Peoria Notre Dame..when they combined with Peoria Spalding..which really ps me off.....just won the Sectional.........and also had a player on the Bradley Roster.

I think Bradley fans share more with us than you could imagine.....Our fan bases until very recently were made up of older fans reliving the glory days of the 50's and 60's . Playing in double headers at the Stadium...quality academic school especially in engineering and communications..A lot their decline I believe fell on two factors. 1. The morphing of the Valley with a lot of the major teams like Cincinnati , St. Louis. Tulsa etc leaving. The Valley did not used to be a mid-major conference. I remember watching Oscar Robertson play at Bradley when I was a kid...and it was a big deal to go to a game at Bradley at Robert Memorial Field House. Always a sell out. 2. They moved their games to the Civic Center (my pops was on the committee that got the Civic Center built) off of Campus and lost the student body.
So I do think you have an older fan base with a very strong tradition, as well as basically being the only game in town....even though they have minor league baseball and hockey....throw that on to the constant fear that Caterpillar will leave and you have some people who hang on the the recent struggles of the Braves a little too tightly. While I know some of us LU people know the rich and long tradition of the Valley some do not.
I had the kind of interaction I like with visiting fans. We talked basketball and the Valley the whole game with the Bradley couple in front of us. Yes they were passionate about the Braves but had a lot of nice things to say about the Ramblers and were star struck to see Sr. Jean in person...I will say I do not think letting their Alumni base (which is large in Chicago) get alcohol infused at Irelands b4 the game helped with those that had bad experiences. And remember everybody in the Valley will continue to look at us as interlopers for awhile.

From my vantage point, I saw many Bradley fans standing and applauding Clay and Marques during the pregame ceremony, which I thought was a nice gesture on their part.

What matchups does everybody want to see for arch madness?

I’d like to Indiana State first (over Valpo)

Bradley (over Missouri State)

Drake (championship)
