I was wondering where Lucas Williamson was. There he is.

Curious if they’ve been using most of the night to use the freshman as much as possible for the experience.

I’d prefer if they’d stop doing that so we don’t have an extremely embarrassing loss to a D2 school. I jinxed us when I was giving Evansville fans shit for barely beating USI.

Can’t beat many teams if we can’t hit threes. That’s been true for years.

Welp, this is officially embarrassing. Double digits at home to a D2 team. And not even an elite D2 team.

It’s not even just the 3’s. The number of missed layups is astounding.

Interested to hear how Porter talks about the game at tomorrow's luncheon, if at all.

That and over 15 turnovers...

I blame Porters Jacket. Apparently thinks he’s too good for exhibition games.

A few thoughts...

- Pretty much a debacle, but let's see what UIndy does vs Xavier and Butler later this week.

- It took us like 30 minutes to make a shot outside of 2 feet. We need Hall and Uguak to have a mid range game.

- I'm so sick of watching teams bank in threes off of us. I swear it happens every game at Gentile (twice tonight). I'm going to lose my mind if we allow 40% three point shooting all year again.

- Kennedy = Good. Please finish a couple more layups though.

- hopefully we take our beating and learn a lesson in toughness.

- Spacing was horrible tonight, with no movement. There were maybe two possessions where we had good spacing and passed the ball to pass up a good shot to get a great shot and missed both wide open 3s
- If a D2 team can shut Krut down by double and triple teaming him, it’s going to be a long year. Goes back to the first point about how terrible the spacing was
- D was so so. Was waiting for them to make an adjustment to put Lucas or Aher on #14, who absolutely killed us, but they kept switching like normal and he torched us from 3 all night long
- Lucas played extremely tight the first half. Almost reminded me of how tight Clay looked last year when he realized he needed to be the go to player on the team. Lucas played much better in the 2nd half after he loosened up
- Was most excited to see Tate Hall tonight. Kept hearing he had a deadly stroke from deep. I don’t know if he was nervous because it was his first game and he was playing against his old teammates, but his first game was brutal. Between the missed 3s, missed layups and turnovers, it was not a great debut. Has a beautiful stroke, so I’m hoping this was just an a one off
- Aher looked like the Aher at the beginning of last year instead of the Aher at the end of last year. That needs to change in a hurry, or it will be a long year
- Was surprised Paxson was the 6th man. Reminds me of Ben when he was a freshman. Has all the intangibles and is going to be a great Rambler by his senior year
- Welch is going to get valuable minutes backing up Krut while Frank is out, but he’s a stretch 4, not a 5
- Jalon was the last reserve off the bench, and didn’t play much. Seems to be very athletic but was pressing way too much. Was trying way too hard to earn more minutes instead of letting the game come to him
- I’m a huge Bruno fan. But he needs to be a practice player and not see the court at this point.
- Overall, it’s an exhibition game. The loss is embarrassing, but lets the team know nothing is going to be given to them this year. It starts for real next Tuesday. Bottom line is if we shoot 35% from the field and 15% from 3, we aren’t going to win many games, regardless of who we play.
