Norman sucks

Maybe, but $3 million/year living in Norman is a lot of money. And he cut his coaching teeth in Texas, recruits the area, OU has a great tradition without being known as a pressure cooker that other P5 schools are, etc, etc.

But there are a lot of drawbacks as well (football first school, not being Chicago or big city, etc.)

I’d be surprised, but not shocked.

lets hope a decision is rendered soon and that could include making a big announcement that Porter got a contract extension and undisclosed raise. Its time to get it done at Loyola.
If he does leave I hope they pick Valentine.
Northwestern is Afganistan and that would be a real gamble.

Its really time for Loyola to step up.

An extension with a huge buyout would be ideal for Loyola, if there’s no way to put together a deal for for him to stay. If a school like OU really wants him, they’ll pay the money, and it’d put us in a better situation to get a solid replacement.

But...I hope he stays.

To be fair, it’s basically a suburb of OKC. I wonder if OU has billboards calling themselves “Oklahoma City’s Big12 School”

Welp. Hopefully we are doing everything we can to convince him to stay. But he is probably looking at $3+ million per year at OU. Tough to compete with that.

Lot of Oklahoma internet places acting like it's done. Time to start battening down the hatches so we can avoid an Indiana State like exodus.

It's not done until it's done. Look at where the DePaul coaching search was a week ago.

Or going back a couple of years, look at what happened to the letter Porter wrote saying he was leaving for St. John's.

I never really believed the other reports but this one feels real.
