I get the same sense. Wouldn't be surprised to see it announced today.

Hopefully we see an announcement today one way or the other. Can’t blame Porter if they offer him a lot of money and a step up to the Big 12; would have never guessed Oklahoma though, but such is life. Only fear I have if he leaves is that we see a mass exodus and we have to start from scratch. Hope that doesn’t happen as we have a top tier MVC team right and will be competitive next year.

On a related note, if Porter leaves who would everyone like to see interviewed/hired? Off the top of my head I’d hope Valentine gets an interview, he could keep several players in place. I’d also see if Luke Yaklich from UIC would be interested and Scott Nagy from Wright St, should we be aiming higher?

It is good job. Paul Mills got a long-term contract at ORU. I still think PM is holding out for when ND opens up.

I am not sure what to make of McCasland. He would be the logical choice, but could end up at Texas Tech.

What makes you think that PM is holding out for ND? I've never heard him utter a word about ND.

I’ve never thought he’s really been holding out for any specific job. Except maybe Creighton if that popped open...but Greg McDermott isn’t that much older than he is.

But nothing actually backs it up, it's pure speculation. Realistically I think he's willing to look at any offers he gets, it seems ridiculous to think that he would be holding out for ND strictly because people are randomly saying that.

I agree. I think it's just been bounced around enough that it's taken on a life of its own.

It honestly sounds like a rumor a Notre Dame fan would start. And I like Notre Dame...but the attitude is real.
