Looking back. Townes didn't commit until May 5th two years ago. Shanks did not commit until May 5th last year. We signed Jackson April 26th two years ago and Avery April 26th last year.

There are more moving parts in April as you have coach terminations and grad transfers that you do not have in November.

We just need to wait a bit. I am hoping we uprade this year in who we get but it is difficult to change perceptions so quickly.

I expect the biggest change in recruiting will be next November.

It looks like there will be a pair of Wojciks in the MVC even if the Ramblers don't sign Jake and Paxson:

Ibi Watson, a Soph. 6'4" wing, just announced his intention to transfer from U. Michigan.
Drew Valentine just Twitter followed Ibi's high school coach.

i was originally against the idea of taking a guy like Nixon who is sit one play one

but porter doesnt typically go too far into the bench so having a guy who isnt eligible and can be a good practice player might be good. Less guys competing for spots

I don’t think we’re going to be “in the running” for ANYONE until we secure Porter. Needs to get done by this week or next if we want to add anybody with talent.

So how good is Nixon? His college stats are not that inspiring. Anybody have the scoop?

Toledo I must say is correct--BUT I am now becoming convinced that there are a few in power who really do NOT want to have LUC rise--Hence the foot dragging !!! We may be now close to either signing Porter to a new deal or LOSING HIM ALTOGETHER !! May be an announcement by Wednesday ???

He's definitely a volume shooter which i don't love. But he can hit some pretty crazy shots and absolutely take over a game. He's a finisher as well; hit a couple game winning/sealing shots. My guess is with a year off to learn the system he can get his efficiency up based on our spacing system and not taking bad shots.
