I agree with the other posters. Why does the Chicago media dis LUC? I saw the same NBC tv news broadcast. Lots of coverage for the U of I losers, lots of fluff about baseball spring training, but nothing, not a word, about the Loyola win.
Congrats, Ramblers! The Rider game was, perhaps, a little too exciting, but, I am very happy that you won. Who knows what the future will hold?

Couple things
1. The new 63 isnt much different than the old Hamiltons.....maybe a little cleaner. So good spot before the game. Specially on St. Paddies.
2. Thought the team looked low energy at the start..Im guessing disappointed by the size of the crowd.I know I was.
3. Students were offered free t shirts ( green Loyola of CHicago) and free hot dogs. Actually at the start were more students than usual. Lot left at halftime.Although they made a lot of noise at the end.
4. If we could ever pack this place it could really be loud.
5. Ramblers were bothered by the 3/4 1-2-2 press as well as the 30 second clock for much of the first half .
6. RIder was ridiculous from 3 point range in the first half. Of their first 23 points all came on 3s and free throws. Even though they kind of went cold they ended up 12 for 24.
7. We missed an unusual amount of bunnies in the first half ..that plus the turnovers got us in the hole...w/o TUrks 3s first half could have done us in
8. Coach made two changes after we got down 8 that turned it around. Went to a 1-3-1 trapping defense and gave Milt the green light.Milt is a very intelligent player knows when to pass or go to the hole. THis got RIder in foul trouble and Milt to the line.
9. Ben Richardson had an off night shooting the ball but he did a lot of other things extremely well. Got to a lot of loose balls. steals and then having gone 0 for a lot from the field makes 2 free throws to ice it
10. Where were the officials from? I am betting they were from the East Coast. YIKES is all I can say.Porter worked them pretty good an I think was close to a T a couple of times.
11.Peterson can fly with the ball in the open court.
12 Dante Ingram...love his enthusiasm and grit for a freshman
13. As we have most of the year we did a great job of doubling the low post....first half didnt rotate so well second half much better.
14.If this game was a western it would be TRUE GRIT with John Wayne.....nothing wrong with saying you won because you hustled and John Wayne played by Milton Doyle rode in to the rescue.
