He started slow last year too.

Have to hope he finds the groove again

Obviously not a great game for Hall or Kaifes

Wisconsin's size is the big issue. Both have been rejected on three pointers

Focusing in the positive: Lucas has been absolutely deadly from deep this year.

I agree. He has really been all around impressive today

Maybe it’s a conditioning thing with Clemons after COVID? Hate to speculate, but there has to be a reason his minutes are so limited to start the season.

Need to pick up one more game after Richmond to get another W before conference in my opinion.

Throwing this game together, hitting the road to play 48 hours after a game, battling not just the Wisconsin team but also some terrible calls...it is what it is. And what it is is good prep for the NCAA tournament. Especially the 48 hour turnover against a top 25 school.

Clemons has to be more involved than he was for most of the game, and I think he will be.

There’s also the open question of what will happen with the NCAA vote on transfers tomorrow (?). I love how Welch is developing, but Demezi Anderson could add a whole new dynamic. Porter has to at least be thinking about it. I know what I hope he decides...but he see’s what we don’t in practice, so I’ll trust his judgment.

The issues that have done in the last two seasons remain. Seeing how we are shooting free throws & defending the three is deflating. I'm also concerned that we have no identifiable 'best lineup' 4 games in. It's not a function of depth either it's an issue that most every player has a wart so bad it's appealing to not play them.

The good news is we have a lot of talent so hopefully the lineup will sort itself out (can I suggest more Kennedy?) But the other two issues will cap how excited I can get about this team.
