WE WIN BIGGER tomorrow

BTW LICKLITER is one fine Coach

Kinda disappointed you didn’t make an Oxen Ball reference, Brot. Lickliter hasn’t changed much since his Butler days.

Oxen ball doesn't start until February 12th.

That said, we have to start thinking about using Norris differently. He obviously can get shoot from 3, and the only way he'll work out this little slump is to keep shooting. I do think we may be giving him too many minutes. He doesn't have the complete Custer burnout, but his legs look a little tired. KC and Kennedy (get well soon Marquise!) can more than competently run the offense without Norris on the floor. If we can reduce Norris to under 30 minutes a game, he'll hopefully be fresher and more likely to go off from deep. It'll probably even help get a few other guys like Kaifes some PT to get into better shooting rhythms too

I agree, I think Norris gets too many minutes given how many competant guards we have. Clearly, he is a good defensive player and Porter really likes him. He's averaging more minutes per game than anyone else on the team, yet he's the eighth highest scorer on the team. I like that he's not a selfish player and has the highest amount of assists on the team, but his shooting is a bit too inconsistent to be playing as much as he is IMO. Clemons on the other hand has been great. I like what he contributes, and he has been hot on the 3 lately.

Coop seems to be in the doghouse a little bit. Been getting yanked quickly lately.

Baylor provided some great minutes I thought! Solid defense, and those two nice finishes. The future is bright

I think Norris gets minutes cause the low turnover, defense and the ability to hit the 3.......were these the most minutes our starters have played this year??? and with a quick turn around for tomorrow. Thought we played w/o a lot of emotion tonight....as someone said we looked flat...with Kennedy out Wojik got no minutes and Kaifes 3, none in the 2nd half.....
Dont want to start any rumors but I did not see Damezei Anderson in huddles...did anyone else see him?

This was a tough game for the ramblers. As people have said previously, it felt a lot closer than it was. Hopefully tomorrow is a bit more comfortable and the starters get some rest. I'm sure Kennedy would have made a difference in this one, but I'm fine with him sitting out tomorrow if it means he'll be 100% for Drake next weekend. Also, I believe I saw Damezi in the huddle.

Anderson was there - saw him in the layup line.

Very interesting that Coop only got the 3 minutes and none in the second half. He missed his first shot badly....then got beat on that nice back door play by Kuhlman and Fraderking (sp?). And that was it. Hebb got most of the minutes that Kennedy's absence created. And he played well. I wouldn't call it the doghouse.....Coop just has to play better. And we need him - we are so good when we are hitting 40-45% of our 3 pointers (which we did NOT do today) ......and he can certainly help with that!

For Grad--In all the excitement re our great ongoing season, I must admit putting OXENBALL in the back burner of my brain---our games against Butler/Lickliter were oxenball at its dullest !!!!
Now then our boys will deliver big tomorrow . Why ?? ours is the better team---I say 75 to 49

Love your enthusiasm, Brot! Hope you're right about tomorrow.... When Evansville went to Bradley, they played close in the first game losing by only 9 points, but got blown out big time in the 2nd game, 86-55. One thing is for certain-- can't let them shoot from three like they did today.
