We really struggle to score

Yeah, we have to drive to the basket against these guys. Too much standing around at the top of the key by O'Leary, Osborne, and Thomas. When a big guy gets position down low, he can screen for the stop and pop jumpers, and then he's there to contest the rebound.

Syracuse played like crap and lost to BC. I can't say I didn't see this coming but I am still mad. Anyways, that leaves Wichita State the only undefeated d1.

Can we really not run a single play off a baseline inbound other than throwing it to Osborne at half court?

Not much to say. In a game that we had to play great, we're playing like crap. Just over 2 minutes left and we're just 3/13 from 3, and have given them 28 free throws (of which they've made 25).

OK !! We are getting beaten by a better team---BUT we will be a force next year--no question==

Having seen WSU play us twice, and having watched a number of Big 10 games this year...I have to disagree, Brot. WSU fans may scoff at this, but I'll be blunt: They aren't a top 5 team. Can they make a run in the tournament? Sure, if everything falls right for them, like it did last year and did for Butler a couple years. But I don't think that will happen. To put it another way: Illinois is having a terrible year, but head to head I'd give them an even shot to beat WSU. Let's be honest, we're not a good team. We did not play a good game tonight, and we did not get blown out of the gym. The last time a team ranked this high came to Gentile was Michigan State my Senior year, and they absolutely blew us out of the gym before the first half was over. This WSU, while good, is just not at that level. I may be wrong, but they're gonna have to prove it.

I honestly have to agree. They are a very good team. And they made threes and they made their free throws and played solid defense. And they barely covered over a 9 win team--with two wins over Campbell and Rockhurst. The Ramblers were done when they fell behind 10-4 and Keke missed two layups. Once we started missing those threes just by a little, the game was over. That's how small the margin of error was and we still almost covered. Wichita is a good team. Top 5, well I'm not sure. They are very good, but we were awfully competitive on an off night. We were not great. Wichita is VERY disciplined and they made us pay. I'll be interested to see how it translates to the tourney, but I'm bummed because I feel like a few bounces changes the complexion of the game just a bit. Maybe I'm just delusional and wounded in the near aftermath, but man. If we just weren't garbage from three until it didn't matter...

WEll, one--Here is the deal--We ARE a fair team on the improve--You said it yourself--We do not get blown away--sure sign of a good but learning team--Couple of real good bigs will do the trick I think--They say PM is a good recruiter--well fine--what has he done for me since last Tuesday ? Its almost Thursday--I mean this, he must solve that problem--Maybe King will do it--BUT needs work.

I say we played a fine team--one I feel will win it all--pretty darn well. Maybe this is reason you do not feel about the Shocks as I do. They have handled EVERYBODY they have played better than they have handled us twice. That tells me we shall be OK, shortly.

----We really only have FOUR starters--Need BIG so Christian can play three
----If we get a fifth, we then go with Keke ands Milton as true guards

Bottom line--RAMBLERS NOW MUST WIN--------Great crowd BTW

34 free throws to 14. That was the difference.
