rule 17.3.5 states that you are allowed:

27 contests plus a qualifying MTE
or 29 contests with NO qualifying MTE

People used to say you get 4 games for 1 but that is NOT true actually. A qualifying MTE of 4 games actually gives you 2 extra games (29 total instead of 27 total). So it is 4 games for 2. Not 4 for 1.

Also D1s can play 4 non D1s in a reglar season. Technically you could play 2 non d1 exhib. games and 4 regular season games totalling 6. Porter seems to prefer a closed scrimmage and 1 exhib. game.

Finally the MTE must be concluded within 2 weeks of the start date so home games if we are in the Vegas Classic would be the week before Christmas.

Well here we go again with the negative--Maybe we ARE going to Las Vegas--I would wager we are--and I am sitting here in AKRON--As of now, my spies over town at Kent St say we have a date there. So add IUC, Tulane and the Tourney, we are looking pretty good for now.
