Up until a handful of years ago, Valley games were pretty much always Wed/Sat. For TV purposes, they've split up mid week games Tue/Wed and weekend games Sat/Sun to allow more TV options. The MVC needs all the TV time it can get and if it gets stronger as I think will happen over the next couple of years, these splits will pay off again.

The full SIU schedule was released yesterday. Loyola plays at Carbondale on Sunday Jan. 18th and at Gentile on Wednesday Feb. 11th .

The full Loyola schedule has been released as well.

I can't find the post now, but I thought someone in the schedule thread said that the Wichita game on Sunday, Jan. 11 is over the semester break. I was looking at the university calendar today, and while that's technically true, classes start the next day, so students will be back on campus.

Games over break are Abilene Christian, Southern Utah, and Bradley. The Jackson State game is during finals week.

They get back Jan. 12? Wow, I remember LU getting back after MLK day. I think there could be a decent number of students there, but you'll have plenty trickling in all day Sunday that won't be at the game. Plus it's a NFL playoffs Sunday that the Bears might be playing in (knock on wood).

Yeah, I also remember one year when they tried a 4-week May term, which meant we started "Spring" semester on like January 4.

The one comparable I could think of is the Mississippi St. game. That game was on the Saturday of Finals week, and a good chunk of campus left because their finals were over. However, we still had quite a nice student turnout. Hopefully the same thing happens with the WSU game this year.
