Wichita State has struggled in every one of their road games this year.

@ Utah, 1-point OT loss against a team that is much better than we are
@ Detroit, trailed by 10 in the 2nd half before coming back to win by 9 against a team not as good as us
@ Hawaii, forced to overtime and won by 1 point against a team not as good as us
@ Drake, tied with 14 minutes to go before winning by 9 against a team not as good as us

Plus they had a loss to George Washington (better than us) on a neutral court. Their only dominant win outside Wichita was a beatdown of Loyola-Marymount by 27 points in Hawaii. They also beat Memphis (maybe about equal to us) by 15 at a neutral court, pulling away for a big lead midway through the second half.

The common thread here is Utah, Detroit, and Hawaii are very tough places to play. We're going to need a LOUD home crowd to keep our energy up if we want to hang with them.

BTW, JCT, I just read through the thread on the WSU board about their pre-game gathering. Well done on stirring up that hornet's nest

I had no idea they were so broadminded/cosmopolitan. I don't usually comment on their board, but I pictured all these Kansans at a place with re-runs of the International Mr. Leather competition playing on one of the TVs, so I thought I'd gently warn them.

That's hilarious. Crew is a great sports bar. Tons of beers, pretty good food.

IMO it all started at Kent game. It has continued and has come to this--an absolute showdown ! I truly hope we play well and give Shockers a game that we can be proud of. I will say only this --this bunch has that something that truly helps get the job done--HEART !!

Play well RAMBLERS !!

In our defense, Juwan Howard JR was out of him mind shooting the ball that day in Detroit. He singlehandedly nearly pulled off that upset. It didn't matter if he had a hand in his face or not, the man was in the zone.

Hawaii we played poorly I'll give you that. Not having Wessel probably hurt us some there.

Drake was embarrassing.

I'm still waiting for us to take that step forward that is just around the corner. It really all comes down to our young bench and when they step up and help us reach that next level. It's coming. It's just a matter of when.

Announcers using a bit of hyperbole. "Biggest game in 30 years!"......I don't think I'd agree with that.

Biggest game in 30 years was the UIC-Detroit Championship game. 02?

Not even close to a sellout. WSU fans behind our bench. Pathetic

Do we even have a majority of fans in the building?
