Sounds like our first game is going to be December 9th vs Chicago State. It's the 6th game on Chicago State's schedule.

It looks like it’s the plan is play Chicago State and hope other teams close to us have games cancelled on them to pick up whatever we can get.

And who will be coaching the Cougars is a mystery. https://watchstadium.com/chicago-state- ... 1-25-2020/

Gregg Marshall is available, and he has experience coaching "State" schools that aren't a state.

Here’s how you’ll know nobody is willing to play us ...

Notre Dame is looking for a game either December 4 or 5. There is no reason they can’t play is in Gentile or south bend. There’s no way Porter wouldn’t be willing to play that game. It’s a 2 hour trip. If this doesn’t happen it’s ridiculous.

Like MJ once said:”I’m back”.
Looking over P5 comments on looking to fill their non con schedule and knowing they also protect their own needs over getting competitive games...
Can’t non P5’s refuse to give up themselves and not book them?
Play without them and use the season to get good enough for really competing against their own conference teams and getting to NCAA by the guaranteed path. Then show the big guys what we’ve got.
Is it worth sucking up to P5’s just so we get a few “Quality” wins yet suffer defeats that justify keeping us out of qualifying for an at large?
As an aside, it was nice to see Coppin St. hang with Duke yesterday.
Also liked how the Illini decimated Ohio by 1 Pt. at home...
I am jaded, and admit my bias, but if you watch enough games, you can see a lot of mediocrity in P5 conferences that get too much consideration just for showing up. Ex:
Minnesota yesterday at home was pushed hard by LMU, eventually winning by a bunch but not without a test. Oh and the kid on LMU undoubtably had more hair than the entire Rambler team together.
Thanks for listening!

I was thinking the same thing at first. But then I recalled that the news about shutting down team activities because of COvID included that we cancelled a buy game the first week of December. So I’m not sure our own timeline has us available to play a game by the 4th or 5th.

Didn’t we make the COVID pause announcement on November 15th? Is there a required amount of days before we can play again past 2 weeks?

Yeah, agreed. I thought we had to ease back into it for a week starting Monday, but I honestly don't know.

I don’t think it’s required to practice a certain number of days, but I recall Porter saying that was the plan
