Last night - hopefully - is the difference in the Kennedy experiment. If you recall, Marquis played about 1 minute before getting pulled for overdribbling into traffic after he entered the game in the first half. For the first time in this season, he took his next chance out there to perform within Porter's framework. And man did he have a game. For everyone that was complaining about his coaching style a couple weeks ago, this is the result. I can't say that it always works (pulling kids and riding em) but it is PM's way. And last night we saw why he was willing to sit him after mistakes and lapses earlier this season as Marquis was spectacular.

I like the way we are looking!

Playing time is at a premium. We have several good players. Marquis was impressive last night. We needed him. We have a deep team and the players have seemingly accepted their roles. PM should be credited with engaging the non-starters. The non-starters come off the bench and increase the intensity. I don't fret when a starter sits. It's great to watch.

The player that has impressed me the most on this latest run is Keith Clemons. His game has stepped up to a new level. I am not sure why. Healthy now, but he was the missing link. The combo of Norris, Clemons and Kennedy are impressive. We need them all.

I forgot how ugly Missouri State’s court is. The giant, dark logo covering about 25% of the court almost makes it unwatchable.

I agree. It's not visually appealing at all. It's nice to see them kick Drake's ass though. I'm tired of seeing Drake ranked so high when they haven't had any impressive victories. But it does make me concerned for our match up with MO St

Not surprised Drake looks all sorts of out of sync on offense after that layoff. I bet they wished they had a warmup game against a DII type opponent or a matchup against an ISUr/Valpo level team.

Missouri State is going to be a problem. A lot of people had Feb 13/14 weekend circled as the showdown for top MVC team. It may very well be this weekend. I know Lucas/Aher can limit Mosley. But Krut and Co. will have their hands full with Prim.

Only time I'll be rooting for Mo State is this matchup :) Yes, court is overdoing it with the mascot branding.

This weekend's trip will be a huge test. Prim caused Krut problems last year and with the new and improved Prim, it'll be even more challenging this time

I don’t want a blowout either way. I’d rather see a few multi-overtime games the next two days.

Spoke too soon. Drake has outscored the Bears 16-4 in the 2nd half and it is a 3 point game with 12:30 left. Game on.

Whoops!

The court is ugly and so was that second half.
